Yulia's Kids-Exculsive Book Club

We insists on three "NOTs" for our children's literature:

1. To be written and illustrated by children, NOT by adults

We are here to build a platform for children to share their works, voice out their opinions, and express their creativity. Children can freely express how they see the world with their own words and their own pictures. We hope this rather boundless freedom of creation could motivate and encourage more young readers to be creative and to take up the initiative to write stories of their own.

2. To be published in Hong Kong, NOT imported from abroad

We plan to publish a series of English children books with specific social and cultural context familiar to local children, while at the same time sparing no effort to share the universal feeling and emotion belonging to children from every corner of the world.

3.  To be created for children’s enjoyment, NOT for teaching or exam-practice purposes

We dare to break the stereotype that English books published in Hong Kong are all about language drilling and examination training. We aim to offer enjoyable reading experiences and promote creative writing in fun, lively and interesting ways. We believe that stories written by children with hand-drawn illustrations are powerful and effective in helping fellow little readers develop more interest in English and art, since it is another inviting mode of learning through peers. We hope our young readers can enhance their English skills as well as artistic sensitivity unintentionally while having fun in reading our creative works.
